All right, Gents. It looks like we'll be reading Ted Chiang's Stories of your Life this month. It's a collection of short stories that includes one that was adapted into the film Arrival. Let's plan on March 22. I'm thinking Chinese food at 7:00 and then lonely contemplation of a world controlled by narrow-minded cogs in the military-industrial complex. Or Scrabble.
I just want to say to those who attended the last meeting of the MMBC that this morning Mr. Arnold told a joke that I thought was really, really funny. I'm concerned that if jokes like that spread among the membership I might ignore my familial/work obligations on Thursdays in hopes of hearing more like it. Can you talk to him about toning things down a notch?
