Aaron's Favorites

No "man" can go wrong with these choices:

1. To Hell and Back - Audie Murphy (WWII hero) writes about his real experiences during WWII

2. Band of Brothers - Stephen Ambrose writes about the 101st Airborne during WWII

3. The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseni writes about his experiences in Afganistan

4. The Screwtape Letters OR The Great Divorce - C.S. Lewis

5. Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln - Doris Kearns

  1. Here's my votes and corresponding point values:
To Hell and Back = 5
    The Kite Runner = 4
    Team of Rivals = 3
The Screwtape Letters = 2 (I love both this and the great divorce, but have read them within the last 5 years. But if the rest of you haven't I'm more than happy to read them again, they're short)
    Band of Brothers = 1

  2. To Hell and Back = 5
    The Screwtape Letters = 4
    Band of Brothers = 3
    The Kite Runner = 2
    Team of Rivals = 1

  3. To Hel and Back = 5
    Team of Rivals = 4
Screwtape Letters and Divorce = 3
    Kiterunner = 2
    Band of Brothers = 1

Hey, Book Skimmers-
So it looks like we're talking about Tom McCarthy's book next. Because I currently have a conflict with my Thursday evenings, I'm hoping everyone can make it to a Wednesday discussion in April. I'm told that Wednesday, April 19 is open for those OH2 folks who normally have midweek obligations. I hope it works for everyone. Let me know if it doesn't.

Place and exact time TBD.
