Encroachment by Enrichment

I just heard our time slot on the 26th has been pre-empted.  If I were further in the book I'd say this Thursday instead.  Any thoughts?

  1. Christie said that the RS announced that enrichment was moved from the 19th to the 26th.

  2. Hmm. Think I am hosting and the plan was to break in the new firepit. I wouldn't mind a late start on the 26th.

  3. The RS knows we have book club on the 4th thurs. Who do they think they are? They've pushed us around long enough and it's time to take a stand. Plus I'm out of town on the 19th through the 24th. It would be nice to start it around 6 out at utah lake for some waterfowl observation. much later than that and the mosquitoes get pretty insane.

  4. Sounds good. I'll be there. The only downside is that it will probably be too late to really have a dinner roasting as many of Audubon's subjects as possible.

  5. Too bad I spoke too soon! I'm willing to be up in arms with Brandon over this. I've just told Christie that she's not going to enrichment _this_ time.

Actually, she wasn't planning on going since it's about gardening, and we're missing that season this year.

  6. Perfect. Kara hates gardening. And I love trying to spot 30 species of birds in one outing. Myles, does this mean we're bringing the shotgun? I bet we could spot us a couple canvasbacks. But how do we camoflouge our canoe as an iceberg this time of year?

  7. Shotguns might be a little obvious out of season. Maybe we should get a vortex cannon and (nearly silently) knock some birds out of trees.

  8. Wait. Canoe? That would be awesome.

  9. Sounds like fun to me. Just so I am understanding this right, it's still the 26th?

  10. It sounds like the 26th is the right date, and the fire pit will be involved, but canoes, Utah Lake, etc... are still up in the air.
